🌻Budwood in Bloom: Celebrating Our Garden Winners!
We extend a heartfelt congratulations to our Budwood in Bloom winners! This year, we embraced a little inter-house competition, encouraging our kids to transform their outdoor spaces into vibrant, colourful gardens. Not only did this initiative aim to enhance our surroundings for a relaxing summer, but it also provided our young gardeners with invaluable skills in horticulture.
The enthusiastic participation from the Heathwood Leigh Road and Quay Cottage kids, paired with the invaluable support from Budwood adults, truly made this project a great success. From planning and purchasing to planting, watering, and weeding, our budding gardeners showcased their dedication and hard work every step of the way.
Here are some highlights of what our talented teams achieved:
Creative Planning: Kids brainstormed ideas for their garden designs, incorporating a variety of colours and plant types.
Diverse Plant Selection: A wide array of flowers, herbs, and plants were chosen, ensuring that each garden reflected the unique personality of its creators.
Community Spirit: The collaboration between kids and adults fostered a sense of community as they worked side by side in enjoying the benefits of teamwork.
Educational Experience: Throughout this journey, participants learned vital gardening skills, including plant care, landscape design, and environmental stewardship.
It’s definitely been a summer to remember! Our gardens are not just blooming with flowers; they are thriving with laughter, creativity, and shared experiences. The hard work of the Budwood teams has transformed our outdoor spaces into beautiful areas to chill and relax during the summer months as well as encouraging biodiversity and wildlife!
