Reflecting on a Wonderful Day at Our Southampton Homes!

It was an incredible day spent catching up with our dedicated staff and inspiring young people. I couldn’t be prouder of the progress we’re making together at Budwood. It’s moments like these that remind me why our work is so important. I had the pleasure of witnessing first hand how our team supports our young people in developing essential life skills. A day at Budwood is never boring; here’s a glimpse of what our young people engaged in: –

Managing Emotions: Learn to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence.
Preparing for Job Interviews: Equipping them with essential skills for their future careers.
Revising for Exams: Fostering academic readiness and resilience.
Getting Ready for Driving Lessons: A crucial step towards independence.
Shopping and Cooking: Valuable life skills that promote self-sufficiency.
Boxing Pad Work in the Garden: Encouraging physical fitness and discipline.

And perhaps most importantly, the balance of nurturing and setting boundaries, with our staff skillfully guiding and supporting throughout, through our CATCH Therapeutic approach ‘connecting rather than correcting’.
